Selecting Text
You can use a variety of techniques to select text that you want to work with.
Here are ways to select text:
To select letters and other characters, click in front of the first character and then drag across the characters you want to select.
To select a word, double‑click it.
To select all of the text in a provision or other item that you’re working with, press Command‑A. To expand this selection, press Command‑A again.
To select a range of text, click the start of the range, and then click the end of the range while holding down the Shift key.
To extend the selection one character at a time, press Shift–Left Arrow or Shift–Right Arrow.
To extend the selection one line at a time, press Shift–Up Arrow or Shift–Down Arrow.
